DISTRICT 10 CORRECTIONS VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

District 10 is currently serving Johnson County Corrections by taking both Men’s and Women’s meetings into the Adult Residential Center (ARC) located at 141 Mission Dr, New Century, KS 66031 (within the New Century Airfield area – West of I-35 and between 151st street in Olathe to the North and HWY 56 in Gardner to the South). Currently, due to the preferences of the JoCo Sherriff, AA meetings are not being taken into the JoCo jail.

The ARC has two different programs for the clients:

  1. Therapeutic Community (TC) is a 6-month residential treatment program where the clients do not leave the facility and are required to complete several self-improvement items to “graduate” – and upon completion are released on parole. TC participants must request and be approved for admission.

  2. Work Release (WR) is a program where the clients are allowed to leave the facility during the day to work but must return each night as residents in a dormitory building separate from TC buildings. The WR clients are also required to complete several self-improvement items and not violate program conditions while away from the facility to be released on parole.

Women’s AA meetings occur for the TC side Tuesdays at 6:45 PM weekly (arrive 6:30 PM for entry)

Women’s AA meetings occur for the WR side Saturdays at 6:45 PM (arrive 6:30 PM for entry)

Men’s AA meetings occur for the TC side Saturdays at 6:00 PM weekly (arrive 5:45 PM for entry)

Men’s AA meetings occur for the WR side Saturdays at 6:45 PM (arrive 6:30 PM for entry)
